AIVA for Memory
An AI thatactually remembers.
A normal chatbot forgets when you close the tab. AIVA keeps four kinds of memory — durable facts, workflow recipes, live context, and behavior rules — so it knows you, gets faster over time, and never makes you repeat yourself.
What AIVA can do
Concrete help with Memory.
Remember who you are
Long-term facts: your preferences, the important people in your life, your projects, and anything you’ve told it to keep.
Learn how you work
Workflow recipes: when AIVA nails a task, it saves the shape of it — the tools, the order, the inputs — and reuses it next time, getting faster and more consistent.
Track the live thread
Live context: open loops (promises and follow-ups), your current focus, and pending approvals — what makes it helpful right now, not just in general.
Follow your rules
Behavior rules: conventions like “don’t summarize at the end of every reply.” They evolve from your corrections, with the higher-stakes ones waiting for your sign-off.
Example prompts
Just say it in plain language.
Remember that I prefer Eastern Time for everything.
What do you remember about the Beacon project?
Pin that I’m vegetarian.
That’s outdated — Atlas shipped. The current project is Beacon.
Forget the inbox-triage recipe from last week — it was bad.
What do you remember about me?
Actions available
The tools AIVA actually has.
Remember
Save a durable fact you tell it, or that it judges worth keeping.
Recall
Answer “what do you remember about…” honestly.
Pin
Mark a memory or recipe as always-consider.
Correct
Fix a wrong or stale memory.
Forget
Delete a memory or recipe entirely.
Permission model
You stay in control of every consequential action.
Read-only work happens silently. Anything that changes the world waits for your approval — and destructive actions always ask prominently.
Common workflows
How people put it to work.
Selective by design
AIVA keeps the small facts that matter and lets idle small talk and one-off details fall away, so it doesn’t drown in noise.
Recipes that compound
The more you use AIVA, the more recipes it banks — and the faster routine work gets.
You stay in control
Pin, correct, or forget anything by just saying so; ask “is this saved?” and AIVA answers straight.
Without your approval, AIVA won’t
No surprises.
These never happen on their own. AIVA drafts and asks; you decide.
- Promote higher-stakes behavior-rule changes (these wait for your sign-off)
- Bulk-import a connected app’s data into memory
- Reset all your memory
Local-first notes
Your data, on your machine.
In Local mode, memory lives on your Mac in AIVA’s data directory.
Connected-app content stays in those apps — AIVA queries them and only keeps small facts you’d want kept.
Forget anything, reset a topic, or wipe the whole data directory for a clean slate.

Built-in app
AIVA for Contacts
AIVA builds a deduplicated contact book from your email, calendar, Slack, and GitHub — with relationship context, identities across channels, and the history that makes “when did I last talk to Sam?” a one-line answer.
Built-in app
AIVA for Loops
Loops are AIVA’s recurring schedules — morning briefs, weekly wrap-ups, periodic checks. Describe them in plain language; AIVA handles the cron, the timezone, and what to do when your Mac was asleep.
Core feature
AIVA for Voice
AIVA listens and speaks — free with the Mac’s built-in voices, or richer with OpenAI or ElevenLabs. Five activation modes, natural interruption, and follow-up listening make it feel like a conversation, not a command line.
