AIVA for Local Files

A filing cabinetthat works for you.

AIVA keeps its own file cabinet on your Mac — drafts, exports, research reports, received attachments, generated artifacts — so the work it produces is organized and findable instead of lost in chat.

What AIVA can do

Concrete help with Local Files.

Save what it produces

Research reports, draft emails, meeting summaries, code snippets, exported CSVs — AIVA files substantial work here instead of cluttering the chat.

Hold received assets

Attachments from email and snippets pulled from Drive land in Files, so everything AIVA touched for you is in one place.

Stay organized

Each file carries a type, size, category, tags, created/updated dates, and an optional link to the related task.

Recover safely

Files follow a trash → restore → delete-forever lifecycle, so nothing disappears by accident.

Example prompts

Just say it in plain language.

Save this research as a file and tag it “competitors”.

Find the CSV you exported for me last Tuesday.

Show me every draft you’ve saved this week.

Attach the file from Alex’s email to the launch task.

Export this summary as a text file I can download.

Restore the report I trashed yesterday.

Actions available

The tools AIVA actually has.

Create file

Save text, drafts, or exports into the cabinet.

Read & preview

Open a file and see its text contents.

Tag & categorize

Type, category, tags, and task links.

Trash & restore

Soft-delete with full recovery.

Delete forever

Permanent removal when you mean it.

Permission model

You stay in control of every consequential action.

Read-only work happens silently. Anything that changes the world waits for your approval — and destructive actions always ask prominently.

Safe — does silently

  • Create and read files in AIVA’s own cabinet
  • Preview text contents
  • Tag and categorize

Asks first

  • Editing files on disk in coding mode

Always asks

  • Delete-forever (permanent)
  • Running shell commands that touch your filesystem

Common workflows

How people put it to work.

01

Artifact archive

Every substantial thing AIVA makes is auto-saved here and linked to the task it came from, so you can always find it.

02

Attachment capture

Files received from connected apps are stored and tagged, ready to reuse without digging through your inbox.

03

Export on demand

Ask for a downloadable version of any summary, draft, or dataset and AIVA writes it to a file.

Without your approval, AIVA won’t

No surprises.

These never happen on their own. AIVA drafts and asks; you decide.

  • Permanently delete a file
  • Edit files on your real filesystem in coding mode
  • Run shell commands against your disk

Local-first notes

Your data, on your machine.

The file cabinet lives on your Mac in AIVA’s data directory — nothing is shipped to a cloud in Local mode.

Soft-delete keeps a trash and restore step before anything is permanent.

You can wipe AIVA’s data directory entirely for a clean slate.

Connected app

AIVA for Google Drive

AIVA searches your Drive on demand, reads the docs you point it at, and can draft new Google Docs or append to existing ones — never touching a file until you approve.

Connected app

AIVA for Notion

AIVA searches the pages you’ve shared with it, reads them as clean Markdown, and updates titles or bodies on request — inserting, appending, or replacing only after you approve.

The app

AIVA for Mac

AIVA is a native Mac app, not a browser tab. It runs locally on 127.0.0.1, keeps its data on your machine, and stays on in the background — remembering, following through, and only surfacing what’s genuinely useful.
