AIVA × Google Drive
Find it, read it,draft from it.
AIVA searches your Drive on demand, reads the docs you point it at, and can draft new Google Docs or append to existing ones — never touching a file until you approve.
The problem
The file you need is somewhere in 4,000 files.
You know the doc exists — someone shared it last quarter — but search by filename never finds it. Once you do, you skim ten pages for the three lines that changed. And turning what you found into a clean draft means another round of copy-paste. The knowledge is there; getting to it is the tax.
What AIVA can do
Concrete help with Google Drive.
Search on demand
“Find the deck Sam shared last quarter.” AIVA searches Drive at that moment using real Drive queries — no bulk indexing of your files.
Read documents
It downloads content and reads Google Docs as plain text, so it can summarize, extract, or answer questions about what’s inside.
Check the metadata
Owner, last-modified date, and size — useful for “which version is newest?” and “who owns this?”
Draft new Docs
AIVA can create a new Google Doc with a draft, or append text to an existing one — after you approve the write.
What changes
What it’s like once AIVA runs your Google Drive.
Answers from your own docs
Ask a question and AIVA finds the right file, reads it, and answers with the source — no more skimming ten pages for three lines.
- Search by description, not filename
- Summaries and extracted action items
- Source doc cited
Found it
- Searched Drive for “pricing”
- Read “Pricing v4”
- 3 changes extracted
Drafts, never silent edits
AIVA can create a new Doc or append to an existing one — but every write waits for your approval, so files never change behind your back.
- New Docs drafted for review
- Appends gated behind approval
- No surprise overwrites

FAQ
Good questions to ask.
Does AIVA index all my files?
No. Drive is query-on-demand — AIVA runs a real Drive search only when you ask and reads only the file you point it at. Nothing is bulk-copied into AIVA.
Can it edit my documents?
It can create a new Doc or append to an existing one, but every write waits for your approval. Replacing large portions of an existing doc is flagged as destructive.
What file types can it read?
AIVA reads Google Docs as plain text and can check metadata (owner, modified date, size) on any file, so it can summarize, extract, and answer questions about content.
How is access secured?
With a revocable OAuth token stored encrypted on your Mac — never your Google password. Disconnect from Settings → Apps to revoke it instantly.
