AIVA for Email
Bring any mailbox.AIVA handles it.
Not on Gmail? Connect any provider over SMTP/IMAP — Fastmail, Migadu, ProtonMail bridge, self-hosted — and AIVA reads, drafts, and sends with the same approval-first care. It can even run its own mailbox on your behalf.
What AIVA can do
Concrete help with Email.
Bring your own provider
Anything that speaks SMTP and IMAP works. Enter your IMAP host for reading and SMTP host for sending; AIVA tests the connection before saving.
Read and triage
AIVA reads recent messages, surfaces new and starred threads, and helps you triage in a clean three-column Email view.
Draft and send
It composes new mail and replies — with CC/BCC and proper threading — and sends after you approve.
Run AIVA’s own mailbox
Give AIVA a dedicated address (its own “assistant” mailbox) so it can correspond on your behalf, separate from your personal inbox.
Example prompts
Just say it in plain language.
Connect my Fastmail account for reading and sending.
Draft a reply to the contract email and CC my co-founder.
Set up a separate mailbox AIVA can send from as [email protected].
Show me unread threads across all my accounts.
Send the intro email I approved, threaded to the original.
Triage today’s mail and flag anything time-sensitive.
Actions available
The tools AIVA actually has.
Connect mailbox
IMAP for reading, SMTP for sending; tested before save.
Read messages
Recent threads across one or all accounts.
Draft mail
New messages or replies, with CC/BCC and threading.
Set account role
Your inbox, or AIVA’s own mailbox.
Send
Only after you approve the draft.
Permission model
You stay in control of every consequential action.
Read-only work happens silently. Anything that changes the world waits for your approval — and destructive actions always ask prominently.
Common workflows
How people put it to work.
Two-mailbox setup
Connect your personal inbox (read-and-draft) plus a dedicated AIVA mailbox it sends from directly — a common power-user pattern.
Approval-gated send
Every outbound message lands in Messages for review; the actual send goes through an explicit approval.
Unified triage
AIVA folds all your accounts into one view and helps you clear them with drafted, ready-to-approve replies.
Without your approval, AIVA won’t
No surprises.
These never happen on their own. AIVA drafts and asks; you decide.
- Send any email from your inbox or AIVA’s mailbox
- Schedule a send for later
- Bulk-delete messages
Local-first notes
Your data, on your machine.
IMAP/SMTP credentials are stored encrypted on your Mac and tested locally before saving.
In Local mode, mail is read and drafted on-device; sends route through your own provider.
You decide each account’s role — your inbox or AIVA’s — and can disconnect any time.

Connected app
AIVA for Gmail
AIVA reads the threads that matter, drafts replies in your voice, tracks the promises buried in your email, and follows up so nothing quietly dies in your inbox. It only sends after you say so.
Built-in app
AIVA for Contacts
AIVA builds a deduplicated contact book from your email, calendar, Slack, and GitHub — with relationship context, identities across channels, and the history that makes “when did I last talk to Sam?” a one-line answer.
Core feature
AIVA for Memory
A normal chatbot forgets when you close the tab. AIVA keeps four kinds of memory — durable facts, workflow recipes, live context, and behavior rules — so it knows you, gets faster over time, and never makes you repeat yourself.
